Weekend Recap: Riley's First Christmas Edition

Christmas morning we got the kiddos out of bed, Charlotte was playing in her crib and Riley was slowly waking up as well. At this age there is no waking up at 4 am to open gifts, its waking up at 7:30 when it is time for a bottle for Riley! This momma is not complaining at all :)

So we got the kiddos out of bed, and Charlotte at first did not really register that she had toys from Santa until she took a double take and then the fun started!

She had cheetos in her stocking and immediately wanted to eat them! Funny girl

She got a tea set, and Daddy opened it, so they had to play with it... Safe to say a fit occurred after we told her to stop playing with it. We hid it when she ran from the room haha. She got it back later :)

Baby's First Christmas! :) :) :)

Such a good Christmas this year! But what a mess :)

Christmas breakfast.. Pancakes! Been that way since Scott and I got married and continues on now!

Pancakes that make a face

Our big piano! We absolutely love playing on it, especially Charlotte

Shorts and Christmas socks on Christmas day! It was 70 degrees here....so not Christmas weather!

A wonderful neighbor got Charlotte a gift, and it was a Doc McStuffins medical bag and she absolutely loves it! She loves checking on her animals :)

Christmas is exhausting for a 3 month old! Someone needed some extra cuddles to lay down

On Christmas day we also went to my parents house so we could exchange gifts with them and my sister, and then we came home and the kids went to bed and Scott and I cleaned. It was crazy how messy the house got but after about an hour the kitchen was bake to normal after the crazy cookie baking and the living room was cleaned up and all tucked away! Scott and I went to bed exhausted and slept very well! Saturday was a day spent at home, except for the quick grocery store run we needed to make! We also brought Scott's truck back so he could leave early early Monday morning to go back to work! That night we held the kids in our arms and watched movies and it was such a nice peaceful evening. I held Riley and Scott held Charlotte and it just felt so peaceful and so right. It was an quiet evening of just us. Sunday was much the same where we didn't get out of our pajamas and just played with toys and ate all the junk and even put together our sugar cookie house we had baked, but not iced! It was a nice relaxing weekend of just the four of us and was a very nice and peaceful time. I had a wonderful holiday with my family and I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday!

The weather is absolutely awful this week so wherever you are stay safe and have a great Wednesday!

XOXO

Weekend Recap!

Happy Monday! I wont lie, today is a lot like my dish towel says: We had all the plans to go exploring and do something productive this weekend, but I only managed to clean the entire kitchen on Friday afternoon while the babies were napping! Here is a a bit of our weekend:  Friday morning started out with two monkeys jumping on the bed bright and early!  I love how they wake up so happy in the morning Riley got his 15 month shots on Thursday so I was fully expecting a grump and a half and got a very happy smiley baby boy instead!  We practiced blowing kisses We snuggled and we ran around with our backpack of toys Mommy did not unpack from the doctor's visit.  Saturday we spent lots of time snuggling on the couch, napping, and watching cartoons and just relaxing before hitting up the grocery store for a big trip. We got home late enough it was a sandwich for dinner kind of night.  Sunday we had plans to go out and ab...

Weekend Recap: This Weekend Edition

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a good Monday! We certainly did! We did not run around like crazy people and got Charlotte's big birthday gift from Momma and Daddy yesterday so all is on track for our princess turning 3 on Sunday! This past weekend started out slow with playing with all of our toys and stuffed animals  and taking lots of naps on the momma Saturday was spent cleaning, taking out the garbage to the dump and buying groceries. So Saturday we spent just getting ready for the week and taking care of everything we needed to get done for a busy week that we are currently in. We also took one more day of rest to recuperate from the stomach bug and allergies that made the rounds through our house.  Sunday we got out of the house because it was not too hot and not too chilly and it wasn't raining so it was the perfect day to go to the flea market.  The babies are watching a show which is why they are not looking at the camera, and we wer...

It is a very special day!  After that, Monday I have an ultrasound and a doctors appointment to check on our up and coming little one! I'm really really nervous about this appointment. I'll be really nervous the entire pregnacncy, what am I talking about haha. Then School, School, and oh did I mention School? Goodness. I have three papers due, all on the same day. On top of all my other weekly school work that I am already having to do. Yeah I'm gonna go missing for a little while.  Yuck!  Almost spring break and then I can go down to Florida and enjoy a week of happiness with my family....if we are still even doing that!
