Getting back to normal

Now that the holiday season is over, everything has somewhat gotten back to normal! Scott is working his butt off, and I'm holding the fort down. Instead of seeing him for four days a week, I've seen him for about 6 hours total this week. It's been rough but its just back to the grind of things for the Wicks.

I have two teething babies so sleep has been rare and its been rough, but I'm managing. Charlotte is getting her last set of molars that you get around the age of 2 and Riley is just starting his journey of getting teeth. Riley so far is not handling it as well as Charlotte did when she was little. He is super grumpy and fussy, a drool monster, we have had to pull the bibs out officially and he wears one almost all the time, and he hasn't been sleeping through the night like he normally does. Charlotte isn't doing awful but she definitely has started to complain about her teeth. She has a few nights were she wakes up in the middle of the night crying but will go back to sleep with a pacifier. So she has to be chewing on something to help. It's definitely not fun and I feel so awful for my babies, but I know the pain will ease soon.

I've been working on cooking a lot this week. Even though Charlotte isn't often home for dinner because she goes to Mimi's house, I still try to make something. This week it is super cold, like 40s cold, which is a huge wake up to the 80s we were having last week and the week before so I made some yummy  Chili that has lasted two days now! It's so yummy and the perfect dinner for keeping warm!

It's been a good week getting back into the routine of two kiddos and mommy all week, but we definitely miss daddy!

Here's a few pictures from the past few days!

Have a Great Thursday!

XOXO

Memorial Day catch up!

Happy Tuesday!  We survived Pre-K!  Char graduated last Thursday and her last day on Friday! She had such a fun year and learned so much and is very sad to be going to a different school next year, but she is also so excited as well! I just cannot believe I have a Kindergartener! Time flies when they are growing up! We had a super busy weekend with my sister coming into town to visit, so I'm catching up on laundry, and cleaning and getting into a summer routine with the kiddos! We are so excited for adventures this summer!  I will be back tomorrow with a weekend recap, but for now here is some photos from Char's graduation at her Pre-K! Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Weekend Recap!

Happy Monday! I wont lie, today is a lot like my dish towel says: We had all the plans to go exploring and do something productive this weekend, but I only managed to clean the entire kitchen on Friday afternoon while the babies were napping! Here is a a bit of our weekend:  Friday morning started out with two monkeys jumping on the bed bright and early!  I love how they wake up so happy in the morning Riley got his 15 month shots on Thursday so I was fully expecting a grump and a half and got a very happy smiley baby boy instead!  We practiced blowing kisses We snuggled and we ran around with our backpack of toys Mommy did not unpack from the doctor's visit.  Saturday we spent lots of time snuggling on the couch, napping, and watching cartoons and just relaxing before hitting up the grocery store for a big trip. We got home late enough it was a sandwich for dinner kind of night.  Sunday we had plans to go out and ab...

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to all! It's been a wonderful family weekend! Unfortunately our Memorial Day ended early, since Scott is now headed to work. He has to be in Miami, 7 am tomorrow! Yuck. Luckily Monday is almost over and we only have to make it until Friday until we see him again! Trying to stay positive and look at it as a good thing, not a bad. It is hard to see him leave, but I know he has to go to work. Charlotte was sad but luckily nap time was soon after he left so she transitioned into sleep fine. She will be upset when she gets up in a few but lots of cuddles, cartoons and playing until bed time will keep her preoccupied. We are headed to the beach this weekend, and then staying down there for the week while Scott works, but we will all be together and Mommy and Charlotte will be looking at houses while Daddy works so we will stay occupied with that and lots of pool time! Cannot wait until this week is over. May is almost over, then June is here! Cannot believe that! ...
