Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday!

Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up!

Come on in!
We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.

When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room.

This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I blogged about this a few weeks back right after we moved in, because this was our first room that we completed! You can check that post our here. We have added more to this room and now it is much more homey and inviting

From the dining room you can see into the kitchen area.

From the dining room door, this is the view of the kitchen! It is a beautiful kitchen and I absolutely love having more room to cook, and just enjoy company.

This is the view from the kitchen! We have a very open floor plan, that way I can be in the kitchen and see the kids playing and not have to worry about anyone being out of my sight. Riley is in his walker because if I don't have him in my arms and he is not contained, then he is going straight to the stairs and climbing them.

This is our living room!

Our second dining area, which is where we eat our meals during the day and night

And another view of the kitchen. I am still looking for bar stools so for now the bar area is just a catch all for things.
Off of the living room is my office, which I work in to blog, and do other things like keep up with bills and maintaining the day to day tasks of running the house. We also have a downstairs bathroom, which is next to the office.

This hallway leads to the living room, so it is open to both the dining room and the living room.
Now let's head upstairs
This is the upstairs. We have a baby gate because Charlotte is learning to open doors, so she might try and come downstairs during the nighttime when everyone is asleep.

To the right of the stairs is the master bedroom

Our master bathroom

and my favorite parts of the house, my bathtub

and my closet

Then we have Riley's room next.

Followed by Charlotte's room

To the right of Charlotte's room is the kids' bathroom, the girls/guest bedroom, the laundry room and an additional closet full of random stuff and sheets.

The opening serves as a playroom as well, and the kiddos love to run around upstairs playing with this kitchen that Charlotte got for her 2nd birthday! The kitchen is also used to block the opening because both kiddos like to stand up against it and either throw things through and hit people downstairs or put arms, legs, feet, and toes through the holes. Momma had a heart attack and blocked that before anyone could get hurt!

So that is our home! We love it and even though we have not painted, or have all the pictures up we are loving having room to grow and play and make our own. We are very blessed to have what we do and are  very thankful!

Thanks for coming along through our home! I will be doing more updated and more in depth room tours as we finish them and get them all pretty but I love our house the way it is so far!

Join us next time!

Thanks for stopping by and have a Great day!
XOXO

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...

Show and Tell Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm linking up with Andrea and doing Show and Tell Tuesday!  Today it is all about how to win your heart!  In the four years I have known Scott he has always known how to make my heart go pitter patter! Whether he is sitting with our children and playing and laughing with them, or on a pizza date where we both look awful because it is so spur of the moment because the kids went to Mimi's for the first time in a couple months we rush out so fast without showers, he knows how to speak to my heart!  Scott and I will be married three years this coming June and in those three years we have been married he goes above and beyond with speaking to my heart! Whether it is a random coffee or energy drink that he brings me while I'm chasing the kiddos, or just telling me to go to the bookstore and read a few magazines, I got the kids for a couple hours, it is those things that win me over day after day! What is different about our lo...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
