It's FRIDAY! Finally

So today is a happy but sad day!

One its Friday which is always a cause for celebration! We made it through another week!
Two we are going home today! We have been away from home going on two weeks now. We popped into the apartment for a few days last weekend on our way to Nashville and then back to Savannah twice, but other than that we have been in a hotel for two weeks, so it will be nice to have all of Charlotte's toys, her cribs, my huge bed with comfortable pillows and my television.

It is a sad day though because Scott doesn't get to stay home with us. He has to remain in Savannah and work tomorrow and Sunday and Monday. Then Tuesday we are headed to Virginia for a quick drop off before running back home to be with my family for Thanksgiving. But it gets worse.... Scott has to leave Thanksgiving night to be back at work Friday. So we get him part of Thanksgiving, which is Charlotte's first Thanksgiving, but not all of it. It's pretty upsetting to me, but I know Charlotte won't remember it at all.

Being a trucker's wife is difficult but I have it easy. I get to see my husband a lot, and sometimes I even get to travel with him. I couldn't imagine being without Scott for a month at a time, or even three months at a time like many truckers wives around the nation. I look up to them for strength and patience and have it so much easier than them, because I get to see my husband almost every weekend and all holidays, even if only for part of the day. I could't imagine it any other way.

I get pretty upset by all the work, but we have bills, need food, and Charlotte needs clothes the more she grows so I know I have to suck it up and be okay with it because it is necessary. I feel like it should be okay to be upset though, only if its for a little bit. Urgh. I hate sharing my husband with so many other people, but at the same time I love his job because it is so much better than any other situation. We are very blessed with our current situation.

Charlotte is finally over whatever bug she had, and other than a cough occassionally she is a bright, bubbly cute little girl who loves to play outside and stroll in her stroller. I cannot wait to see her reaction to seeing Mimi this weekend. A two week reunion is going to be epic.
Time to pack up the computer and wait for Scott to get back so we can head out.
Have a great Friday everyone! And stay warm in this ridiculous weather! :)

XOXO

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...
