A magical weekend to remember! :)

Over the weekend, Scott had to work, so Charlotte and I went with him. Instead of driving down Friday and taking our time like we had planned, Scott's boss decided he wanted to throw two more jobs at him. We were originally supposed to be going to the Christmas party at the office party with everyone else, but once again Scott had to work and I was definitely not going without him, so we went with him instead.

We drove from about 3 am until 9 am the next morning, checked into a hotel and Scott went to unload. About 3:30 Scott got back after a long day and he napped for an hour, since Charlotte was napping already. Then he got up and we went in search of nursery water, since Scott didn't want me using tap water haha. Luckily our hotel was just down the street from the mall and tons of shopping so we stopped at Target first. We got Starbucks and some nursery water and then headed across the street in search of some dinner since we both hadn't eaten all day. We did some shopping and finally came around to the food court. We were going to try something different but to to the lack of help from the people we decided to go somewhere we knew everyone was nice! Chick-fil A! It's my absolute favorite and at one point while I was pregnant with Charlotte I had to have it almost every day. That was a little bit difficult being in places of the U.S. that didn't even have Chick-fil A, but we still somehow managed to fulfill my craving!

Back to what I was talking about. After dinner we walked around some more and went into the Hallmark store, where we found two awesome finds!

First a nativity scene. We have been looking and looking for the picture nativity scene for our home and we finally found it. We collect Willow Tree figurines and we found a nativity scene that was perfect for our home.
Second we are looking for a birthday train for little Charlotte that we can add onto each year. I still plan to research and since we don't have a hallmark store where we live I will probably buy something online but we found a bunch of precious moments figurines, and Scott and I both love love love Precious moments. Scott grew up with them and my grandmother passed a few down to me as well.  A side note:  I'm not sure where we were but while driving last year together Scott found museum in the middle of the night that he stopped at. He woke me up and said come here and we walked around the grounds since it wasn't open at 3 am haha. It was so cool being somewhere and finding something we both loved.

After the hallmark store Scott was really hurting after a long night and long day so we returned to our hotel and went to bed. He slept for 10 hours and the next morning he was super bouncy and happy because he felt so much better. After getting coffee and juice, feeding and changing Charlotte and packing everything up we took off for our next adventure.

We originally had planned to go to the zoo, because we had heard great things about it and even Mimi said we should take Charlotte but seeing as the zoo was the opposite direction of heading home we changed up and decided we would go somewhere on our way home. We originally had planned to go to Gatorland, but before we got to the exit to go there, we saw the signs for Disney World and Scott decided he wanted to go. So we headed to Magic Kingdom and went to Disney World for the first time. (I have been to Epcot and Animal Kingdom with my parents as one of our summer vacations about 5 years ago but this was my first time at Magic Kingdom and my first time with my own little family). We wore the first time pins, ate lots of food, did lots of walking, saw lots of parades and shows, even got to meet Minnie Mouse, which I would say was Charlotte's favorite. We had a long long 14 hour day and then headed back to Savannah for work the next morning.

Disney World is a magical place and even though  Charlotte won't remember a thing, we have lots of picture for her!It is a lot more magical being able to experience it as a Mommy now! It is a wonderful feeling sharing these experiences not only with Charlotte but with Scott as well. I cannot wait for our next family adventure! It was a great weekend. Now onto Christmas! YAY

I'll post pictures of Disney World either tomorrow or sometime after Christmas but here is one of my beautiful family after just arriving! That is the only time Charlotte wore her ears, she wanted to either chew on them or throw them out of the stroller the rest of the time!

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
