Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015!

So I decided to do two posts today! One because I thought it would be fun to post in the morning and at night and two just because I want to do a year in review because 2014 was pretty marvelous! It had its down moments but most of 2014 was spent with joy and laughter and happiness!

Warning: This is a really really long post. Like really really long. So you might want to have two cups of coffee, some breakfast and maybe even lunch to finish this post haha. :) Enjoy

A review of 2014

January
This was a down month for me mostly because it was my last month on the truck. For those of you that don't know, I worked on a moving truck with my husband last year for seven months. At first I was right along side him driving and moving furniture and then we found out we were pregnant and so I moved to just doing inventory and then at 8 months pregnant had to get off due to appointments beings twice a month and then finally weekly until we had her. I had my baby shower this month as well which marked the week of me getting off the truck.

New Year's in Maine

The Nor'easter that hit in Massachusetts

February
This month marked one more month until Charlotte's arrival. I sat around, got finished Charlotte's nursery and played video games to help with the contractions that were coming and going.
Our First Valentines Day as a couple!
I got my hair cut before having little miss Charlotte

March
March 12, 2014 our little bundle of joy was born! She was 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long! She was beautiful and despite the issues with labor we had a safe and happy delivery. Emergency c-section put my recovery time at a slower pace, but I love my little girl and my husband helped so much I cannot thank him enough.

April
We celebrated Charlotte's very first Easter even though she was barely a month old. We took our first road trip with Charlotte down to Savannah, since that is where we work, and she went to the beach for the first time!

May
May is a tough month for me. I lost my daughter Rebecca Lily a year ago when I was 7 months pregnant with her. I was devastated and still am today but luckily I have Charlotte and Scott and everyone else to get me through it. I celebrated my very first official Mother's Day, even though I celebrated last year as well, just a little less happily. This was the month of road trips, Memorial Day at the beach and Scott's car accident :( Someone totaled our car running a red light. He is alright now but his neck still hurts and he cannot feel his elbow still.

June
Happy Anniversary to Scott and I. We have been married a year and spent our anniversary where we got married, Tybee Island. Charlotte stayed with Mimi and Grandpa and we took off for two days! It was marvelous and so relaxing and our first full trip away from little one! We traveled the entire month. We were in Savannah, Texas, Arkansas, Florida, Savannah, and home! It was a blast but definitely a busy busy month. We celebrated Father's Day at the beach as well! I even went blonde this month!

July
We celebrated Charlotte's first Independence Day. Had awful gum graft surgery, took one last road trip and just chilled around the house. We  took Charlotte to see her first movie at theatres, How to Train your Dragon 2 and she loved it!

August
Celebrated Scott's birthday, started classes, went to a friends bachelorette party (the first one I had ever been to), Football season started Woohoo! We even went to Charleston. SC as a day trip because Daddy had the day off!

September
.This wasn't a very busy month! We went to my suitemate from college, her wedding, and I continued with classes!
Earlier in the day

To later in the day! We clean up good!

Such a beautiful wedding

I took my first Psychology and used all of these sticky notes!

October
This is by far my favorite month. My birthday, fall, everything pumpkin! Road trips, fall break, more exams, and Charlotte's first Halloween! Oh and we went to the Luke Bryan concert!

November
So this month I continued with school, celebrated Charlotte's first Thanksgiving and drove so many miles and hours. I worked all day before Thanksgiving and then all weekend after Thanksgiving and we even found time to go on another road trip! It was a busy month but a very thankful month! We had our first library trip, and our first play date too!

December
December has been a fun but busy month! I finished school, took my finals, got all A's, stayed in Savannah for two weeks, celebrated Charlotte's first Christmas, visited Santa, went to the Magic Kingdom, and found time to blog, read, write, and just relax! It's been a great month!

It has been an absolutely amazing year. Yeah there were tough times, but we were blessed with our beautiful baby girl and all have our health and family going into the new year! As I end this post, it will be my last of 2014. That is so surreal, especially as a mom. I have grown so much the past year and I cannot wait to see what is next for the Wicks family!

I hope everyone is having and has a safe New Years Eve and a great New Year!

Bring it on 2015!
XOXO

Happy Friday Ya'll!  I am so glad it is Friday! It has been. rough week for this momma, the kiddos have been loud and crazy but have been so good this week but everything else is just super crazy haha!  Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Narci , Andrea and Erika !  So here are some random favorites that happened this week! Cuddles with this sweet boy have been a favorite this week! I have been having on and off contractions and lots of pain so I have been bed ridden for a good portion of the week and this little has hung out with me and watched cartoons! Cuddles are definitely a favorite!    Trying to let this boy in the house more and more since its been chilly outside.  While the training process has been rough, he has started to snooze in the afternoons and those are definitely a favorite!  Breakfast conversations with these two are a favorite from this week! It is always non-stop with these t...

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...
