Riley's First Christmas! Part 1

This year we celebrated another first! Our baby boy not only turned 3 months old on Christmas Day but he celebrated his first Christmas! Charlotte enjoyed her first Christmas actually understanding how to unwrap presents, even though she had a little help but did some on her own. It was such a wonderful time had by our family of four!

Today it is all about cookies and our Christmas Eve! We had such a wonderful long four day weekend with Daddy and definitely soaked in all the time we had with him!

We made so many cookies and it took all of Tuesday and then Christmas Eve day to get them fully ready and prepared! We prepared the dough on Tuesday while Scott was home, let it chill in the fridge all of Wednesday and then baked, frosted, and decorated Christmas Eve day! It was a busy few days but a fun few days as well!

Once all the cookies were prepared, we all scrambled, or Scott and I scrambled to get both kiddos and ourselves ready for Christmas Eve dinner at Mom's with the family.

Our little Santa and elf ready for Christmas Eve

Handing out presents, like such a big girl

Coloring in her new coloring books! This girl loves, loves, loves to color

Christmas Eve is exhausting when you are a 3 month old! Daddy loved holding Riley though so it was all comfy and cozy for the sleepyhead!

He is so precious while he sleeps!

He also slept in Mimi's lap too!

Our tree and the hallmark channel on before Santa arrives!

Someone is excited for his First Christmas

So it was absolutely nasty and rainy Christmas Eve day and night so I got to open a present from the husband early, actually two. These were opened Christmas Eve, Eve and Christmas Eve I got to open my rain jacket which for someone reason I do not have a picture of! It is absolutely beautiful and my husband did an amazing job surprising me this year!

This boy refused to be put down in his crib to fall asleep, so he laid with Daddy and went to sleep! Such a sweet loving boy!

Santa came, and we have a pretend fireplace so that it looks cozy and warm, even though its actually 70 degrees outside! Eek, too warm for Christmas Eve

Santa came and left tons of goodies for Charlotte and Riley, and the Wicks Family were all snuggled in their beds finally haha!

Come on back tomorrow to check out Part 2.... Weekend Recap Christmas edition!

Have a great Tuesday!
XOXO

Show and Tell Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm linking up with Andrea and doing Show and Tell Tuesday!  Today it is all about how to win your heart!  In the four years I have known Scott he has always known how to make my heart go pitter patter! Whether he is sitting with our children and playing and laughing with them, or on a pizza date where we both look awful because it is so spur of the moment because the kids went to Mimi's for the first time in a couple months we rush out so fast without showers, he knows how to speak to my heart!  Scott and I will be married three years this coming June and in those three years we have been married he goes above and beyond with speaking to my heart! Whether it is a random coffee or energy drink that he brings me while I'm chasing the kiddos, or just telling me to go to the bookstore and read a few magazines, I got the kids for a couple hours, it is those things that win me over day after day! What is different about our lo...

Weekend Recap!

Happy Monday! I wont lie, today is a lot like my dish towel says: We had all the plans to go exploring and do something productive this weekend, but I only managed to clean the entire kitchen on Friday afternoon while the babies were napping! Here is a a bit of our weekend:  Friday morning started out with two monkeys jumping on the bed bright and early!  I love how they wake up so happy in the morning Riley got his 15 month shots on Thursday so I was fully expecting a grump and a half and got a very happy smiley baby boy instead!  We practiced blowing kisses We snuggled and we ran around with our backpack of toys Mommy did not unpack from the doctor's visit.  Saturday we spent lots of time snuggling on the couch, napping, and watching cartoons and just relaxing before hitting up the grocery store for a big trip. We got home late enough it was a sandwich for dinner kind of night.  Sunday we had plans to go out and ab...

Weekend Recap on a Tuesday! :)

So I was trying to get this posted yesterday but the littles decided they wanted to test Mommy yesterday and not allow me to get anything done. By the time both kids were in bed for the night I was so tired I just went straight to bed instead of having some "me" time. This weekend started out running errands and going to the park! We haven't been to the park since August when I was put on bedrest! Our newest park member! She learned to climb the slide from her Aunt. She watched her climb up and just had to do it herself The park can be exhausting for little boys!  Scott got home late, late Friday night like 12:30 am and we went straight to bed because he had to be up and out the door for a class at 9 am. He was gone until 4:30 and as soon as he got home Charlotte would not leave his lap! Even with baby Riley sitting there. We watched football all day, and even late into the night, since Saturday is devoted to college football! The ...
