Throwback Thursday: Charlotte's Second birthday!

Happy Thursday! Today I'm doing a little Throwback Thursday to March when we celebrated Charlotte's second birthday! March was a crazy hectic month because we were traveling back and forth for looking at houses, signing paperwork, putting in an offer and all that is involved plus packing up the entire apartment and putting it into storage! It was crazy and amongst all the crazy I still managed to not only plan but also throw a party for our baby girl! Fast forward through closing, moving and getting settled and I finally have time to write this post! #betterlatethannever Am I right haha!?

These were here invitations. They were the cutest little invitations and didn't take too long to fill in for the guests! Her birthday party was from 12-2 on her birthday Saturday March 12 and we had a small family gathering! She loves Bubble Guppies, so I knew it would be the perfect theme for her party!

I put her into bed and took her photo of her last time being 23 months old because the next morning I would have a two year old! No longer a baby girl! *cue the momma tears*

To throw it back to her first birthday here is the collage I posted for her happy birthday message! Look how little and tiny and with no hair she was! Oh I cannot believe she used to be so tiny!

The next morning as usual I went to buy her balloons and pick up her cake! I don't often buy balloons or cake the day before a party just because I don't want something crazy to happen, so we ran a few errands before heading to my mom's house to set up for the party!

We didn't go quite as crazy this time around. One because I was out of town when I got the bulk of the party supplies and two because it was her second birthday and we went crazy for her first birthday! We got everything from Party City and the cake and food came from our favorite grocery store, Publix :)

Once everything was set up, people started arriving! We just had family and some lovely ladies that we consider family over because I didn't want to go over the top while in the process of packing and getting things together! We had a wonderful time eating, and celebrating our baby girl! She is truly loved!

We didn't go with normal party hats this time, instead we bought a hat for the kids to wear on their birthday until they outgrow it. I will put Riley in a special one year one but after that we will use this one!

I just love it! :)

Birthday girl eating her sandwich, fruit and veggies

This sweet boy playing while everyone ate lunch

Birthday cake! The two on the little platform would move so it looked like they were swimming

She loves looking out the window

Riley wanted to join the party

After lunch it was time for cake

The reason I am holding the birthday girl is because she started screaming and crying when we sang to my dad for his birthday in February so I knew she was going to freak out when everyone sang.
Our little family of four! I love how excited Riley is!

She didn't scream or cry this time but she definitely didn't enjoy it too much

We worked extra hard at learning how to blow out our candles!

Watiting patiently for cake and ice cream!

My sweet boy!

Yummy!

Covered in cake and ice cream!
Little boy wanted some ice cream! He is such a wiggle worm!

Daddy caved and let him have some! (Not really, he just wanted to take a picture to make it look like it!) No cake for little boy yet

After cake and ice cream it was presents time.

For presents this year it was Mimi and Charlotte because I was rocking Riley since he was sleepy and very fussy! He napped the entire time she opened gifts!

Isn't she just adorable!?

I still cannot believe she is two!

Once everything was wrapped up and taken to the car we put the kiddos in and they both went straight to sleep! And for the first time since Riley was born my little girl stayed asleep in my arms while I carried her upstairs to bed! She was worn out and didn't wake up until it was time to eat dinner!
We are so blessed to have so many people love our baby girl! We love each and everyone of our family members and friends and are grateful to have everyone in our lives! It was such a fun day filled with love and happiness and lots of sweets!

A huge shout out to my little sister who took the beautiful photos at the party! She is the best sister and Aunt to Charlotte and Riley any momma could ask for! Thanks sis

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Thursday!
Check back in tomorrow for Friday Favorites :)

XOXO

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday Ya'll!  I am so glad it is Friday! It has been. rough week for this momma, the kiddos have been loud and crazy but have been so good this week but everything else is just super crazy haha!  Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Narci , Andrea and Erika !  So here are some random favorites that happened this week! Cuddles with this sweet boy have been a favorite this week! I have been having on and off contractions and lots of pain so I have been bed ridden for a good portion of the week and this little has hung out with me and watched cartoons! Cuddles are definitely a favorite!    Trying to let this boy in the house more and more since its been chilly outside.  While the training process has been rough, he has started to snooze in the afternoons and those are definitely a favorite!  Breakfast conversations with these two are a favorite from this week! It is always non-stop with these t...

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...
