Weekend Recap: Evacuated Edition

Finally made it to Monday!
So as many of you have probably seen on the news, Hurricane Matthew took a very destructive path through Haiti, the Bahamas, Cuba and the southeastern coast of the United States. Many people have been affected by this hurricane, including my family. We had to evacuate from our home, not knowing what we would come back to. I have never been so scared nor stressed in my life. The kids and I are safely in Athens, where the babies are having an extended sleepover with Mimi and Grandpa and the girls and I are in a hotel room. My husband however was not so lucky and is stuck at our home, with no power and water. Prayers would be greatly appreciated, and even though our home had no damage to it, our community, or neighborhood and our town has been destroyed. Rebuilding has begun but many people are in need to many things. Here is my weekend recap starting on Thursday afternoon when we left our home.

Thursday night we were in a hotel room 5 hours from home and hoping the hurricane would spare us

Friday we went to the park with the babies while Mimi had to work. This boy loves to swing, like cries if you take him out of it too soon, loves it! It is the best thing

And of course this little loves to slide and climb and just run around.

The last time we were at this playground, this little was just born. He was in the carrier on my chest, while big sister was running around having fun! Now he can join in!

We bought a little pumpkin to bring the Fall/Halloween spirit to our room!

My hubby got stuck, so we have Face timed while he is gone, and he has used his car to get charge for his phone, he hasn't had the best service but we got to talk a little bit every day since we had to leave

We visited the stadium in Athens,

got some yummy ice cream

and loved the sunshine

Such beautiful scenery

We are thankful for what we have and appreciative that our house is still standing, because others were not so lucky, so we are happy to be safe and have a home to go back to. That is our weekend recap! The babies are safely with my Mom and Dad and we are safe in a hotel enjoying the view, and enjoying our time up here, but we are so ready to go home.
Have a safe and wonderful Monday!
XOXO

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday Ya'll!  I am so glad it is Friday! It has been. rough week for this momma, the kiddos have been loud and crazy but have been so good this week but everything else is just super crazy haha!  Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Narci , Andrea and Erika !  So here are some random favorites that happened this week! Cuddles with this sweet boy have been a favorite this week! I have been having on and off contractions and lots of pain so I have been bed ridden for a good portion of the week and this little has hung out with me and watched cartoons! Cuddles are definitely a favorite!    Trying to let this boy in the house more and more since its been chilly outside.  While the training process has been rough, he has started to snooze in the afternoons and those are definitely a favorite!  Breakfast conversations with these two are a favorite from this week! It is always non-stop with these t...

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
