Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had a very family oriented weekend with some time out at a yard sale but mostly spent at home cuddled on the couch together as a family.

Friday started off with dropping  the big kids off at school, and the grocery store before racing home to catch Mickey and the Roadster Racers. These babies will sit down and be quiet for thirty minutes of this show, its the only one that stops them in their tracks, so it is the best time to get anything done!

By the afternoon these two were tired and cranky so we watched a few minutes of cartoons before having to go pick up sister. I should have known something was up because Riley was not acting normal, he never lays down for more than 5 minutes at a time and he was down for thirty. On the way to the high school he threw up three times, and then twice in the parking lot at the school. It was a rough forty minute round trip, but we got home, cleaned up, bathed, and threw the car seat cover in the wash right about the time hubby walked in from his trip to Pennsylvania. Welcome home, we have a sick baby and a momma covered in puke!

Hubby was a wonderful man, despite being tired and cooked dinner while I snuggled this little boy. We went about our night and gave this boy dinner and he started screaming(which is what he does before throwing up) so I scooped him up real fast and held him knowing full well he was about to lose it and he did. So back to the bathtub it was. Luckily, that was the last time he threw up, and he was so exhausted that when we put the little ones to bed he fell right to sleep. I checked on him two hours later and he was doing just fine, and then went to bed. Hubby was up because his hours were off and when Riley woke up about 1 he went and rubbed his back to help him back to sleep. Then at 5 I got up and sat with Riley and rubbed his back and he went back to sleep until 8. So rough night, but luckily no more getting sick.

This little was all better by Saturday. We kept him on a bland food, liquid diet just to make sure, but he didn't get sick anymore the rest of the weekend.

So later Saturday afternoon we braved the cold for just a little bit and went to a yard sale that hubby's work was having. We walked away with a beautiful grandfather clock that I will take pictures of once we get it all cleaned up, and I also got this beautiful red leather chair that fits perfectly in our upstairs landing! We moved the reading lamp from downstairs to upstairs and its the perfect little quiet time/ reading nook! I love it

The rest of Saturday and into Sunday we played with all of our toys, and made such a mess and ate a delicious ham that Hubby cooked for us! We still have leftovers, so I see ham sandwiches for lunch today!

We also moved our furniture in our living room around! We opened it up a bit more so we could walk in, and also be able to talk with everyone while in the kitchen without feeling so closed off. We watched the Super Bowl as well but I didn't take many pictures on Sunday because I just didn't have my phone on me, except to take a picture of the living room!

So we had a productive but lazy weekend spending lots of quality time with family! Today we are all recovering from random aches and pains so I see lots of laundry and cleaning and playing with toys, and I will eventually have to run to the store for some things, but today will be as laid back as our weekend was!
I hope everyone has a great Monday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...

Show and Tell Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm linking up with Andrea and doing Show and Tell Tuesday!  Today it is all about how to win your heart!  In the four years I have known Scott he has always known how to make my heart go pitter patter! Whether he is sitting with our children and playing and laughing with them, or on a pizza date where we both look awful because it is so spur of the moment because the kids went to Mimi's for the first time in a couple months we rush out so fast without showers, he knows how to speak to my heart!  Scott and I will be married three years this coming June and in those three years we have been married he goes above and beyond with speaking to my heart! Whether it is a random coffee or energy drink that he brings me while I'm chasing the kiddos, or just telling me to go to the bookstore and read a few magazines, I got the kids for a couple hours, it is those things that win me over day after day! What is different about our lo...

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday Ya'll!  I am so glad it is Friday! It has been. rough week for this momma, the kiddos have been loud and crazy but have been so good this week but everything else is just super crazy haha!  Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Narci , Andrea and Erika !  So here are some random favorites that happened this week! Cuddles with this sweet boy have been a favorite this week! I have been having on and off contractions and lots of pain so I have been bed ridden for a good portion of the week and this little has hung out with me and watched cartoons! Cuddles are definitely a favorite!    Trying to let this boy in the house more and more since its been chilly outside.  While the training process has been rough, he has started to snooze in the afternoons and those are definitely a favorite!  Breakfast conversations with these two are a favorite from this week! It is always non-stop with these t...
