Day in The Life: November 2017

I absolutely love seeing Day in the Life posts, and since it has been so long since I blogged and even longer since I posted a Day in the Life I decided to pick a random day last week and record a day in our lives! I picked last Thursday November 2 and did pretty well with taking pictures of our everyday lives! :)

Scott had an alarm set for 6, 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45, and luckily this morning he got up at 6 right on time. We have had a few mornings where we accidentally sleep through all of our alarms and are scrambling to get things done, so this morning was a good one. He got up at 6 and I laid in bed for another 30 minutes before I hopped out of bed!

I threw on my leggings since it was a little chilly and I went to bed with pajama shorts on

and then headed downstairs for some coffee

Soon after making my cup of coffee I heard a little girl making noise so I headed back upstairs to find her in my bed so we snuggled

while I worked on emails

at 7 I said bye to the hubby who was off for a full day of work

and then headed back upstairs and 5 minutes later this little boy joined us and showed momma his favorite truck, just like daddy drives :)

All the snuggles on a chilly morning

at 8:15 we headed downstairs for breakfast

all ready with some yogurt, and a muffin that was baked the day before!

While the kids ate I unloaded the dishwasher and reloaded it

and by the time I was done this girl was done and ready to color

and I cleaned the entire kitchen while these two colored and played and watched a few cartoons

and of course momma's boy still needs his hugs and snuggles so I stopped what I was doing for the best moments ever!

Then it was time for a load of laundry

and to tidy up my bedroom and make our bed

While I was doing this, Riley had grabbed almost all of his books off the shelf and was reading them

We picked up our books and got dressed

and moved a bunch of toys downstairs because we were about to have a playdate with some of our friends!

Ollie was also let outside during the massive chaos of coming downstairs

and I made myself a strawberry and banana smoothie

and Char made me some pretend lunch

I finished my smoothie and brushed my teeth and put on  a cardigan and some shorts

and the kiddos gave the puppy dog some food and a treat

and I fed the little stray cat that likes to sleep on our porch now

and then we played hard for an hour. We had a playdate starting at 10 so I had about a dozen toddlers running around my house this day!

and had a delicious lunch of spaghetti and meatballs at 11:40

After lunch we ran some more energy out in the backyard after all of our friends left

then it was time for an early bath to wash up

and lights out for nap at 1:24.

I got myself a small treat for surviving having 8 kids running around the house

and tackled putting away the folded laundry that has been sitting in the basket for probably a week now #laundryproblems

I went into to check on the kiddos and you know they played hard when they went straight to sleep without talking or playing first

so I turned on some youtube and did some more laundry and just rested for a bit

at 4:00 these sleepyheads woke up and this boy just needed all the snuggles and rocking

and he eventually calmed down enough to lay down

and play with big sister who had woken up at 3:30

Then it was downstairs for a snack, and we had pop tarts and juice today

with a side of her favorite blanket that never leaves her hands

and then we loaded up into the mini van

and right before we left my beanie came, and ya'll this beanie is so soft and is just perfect! So perfect I ordered another one in a maroon color! It was 80 degrees down here this day but I could still wear this comfortably without feeling like I was overheating!

Off to the grocery store we went. We just went to our little IGA down the road for a few things since the babies and I were leaving in just a few short days for a trip

so we got some toothpaste, Claritin because I am struggling with allergies right now,  butter, milk, honey wheat bread, enchilada sauce, two small boxes of rice, all the peppers and some taco shells.

Once we got home we went straight back outside to the backyard to play some more

and then I realized I had made a cup of coffee and downed it while at the grocery store but forgot to take a picture so I took a quick snap of my empty coffee

While we were running around playing daddy came home and the kiddos needed hugs and love before playing some more

at 6 I started dinner

and noticed a kids toy on the counter top and a missing taco shell. These were waiting on being put into the oven and Riley had snuck up and grabbed one and started eating it. So I grabbed a bag of tortilla chips and gave him one and cooked the taco shells and then gave him the one he was eating once it was cooked

After dinner I started the dishwasher

and the kiddos took a second bath. They don't always get two baths but today we were filthy after lunch, like not even a wipe down with a wet wipe helped, so they had to get their bodies washed before nap and then I needed to wash their hair this evening so they took two baths.

But they don't mind because they love bath time and making silly faces once pjs are on

All clean, and dressed and ready for bed.
At this point I did not take pictures because we were using my phone to FaceTime with Mimi who reads our bedtime story over FaceTime! It was a lot of fun and these two sat perfectly and quietly tonight which very rarely happens

Once goodnights were said and Mimi hung up we hopped in bed for the night

and I folded more laundry, which were towels now

and did some work for our business.
Then it was time for little show and relaxing with a drink while Scott was downstairs working on his homework. He is taking classes online to finish up his bachelors degree so our nights look a little bit different now.

Once Scott finished up his assignment he needed to get done, he came upstairs and we watched some sports highlights on Youtube. He had to be up super early for work the next morning so I set a million different alarms

and it was lights out at 10:11!

So that was our crazy hectic Thursday! We had a playdate and lots of playing and a grocery run to do this day so it made for a very eventful but busy crazy day!
thanks for coming along on a day in our life!

Have a great day and see y'all back here again real soon!

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
