Thanksgiving Week Part II

Hey Ya'll! Today I am doing part two of our Thanksgiving week recap!
We had such a busy week!
Tuesday we loaded up super early, like 5 am early, for our 4 hour drive to Athens. We had dentist appointments at 11 so we had to leave early to get to town in time. We got to Athens early so we made a stop at a playground we used to go to when we lived in Athens. However it was different this time because they built a new one, and tore the old one down. It was hard for me to see that, because I took my babies to that playground when they were so very little. But we still had a blast and made new memories on this new playground!

Happy to be out of the car!

and both headed straight to the slides!

Char is getting so much more balanced, it is fun to watch her on the balance beam

and Riley was a goof and slide across on his butt :P

Sliding with my boy

and then we found the coolest swings, where you sit on one side and the baby sits in a seat on the other end. He looks like he is having no fun right?!

To say he had a blast was an understatement

They even moved the bulldog over so that it was with the new play area. We only got about 30 minutes to play before we had to head across town for our dentist appointments.

This little boy was momma's assistant and helped Mimi and the doctor with my splint.
After dentist appointments we walked up to the park just next door to Mimi's work to kill some time and run off some energy before lunch!

and we played on the other playground we used to go to all the time!

These two had such a blast and they loved every minute of playing together.

Here is a little throwback Thursday, this was the last time we were on this playground, in November 2015. Riley was just two months old and sleeping in the stroller while big sister played and played and played. Life looks a little bit different now :)

I love these trees this time of year #breathtaking

So we met Mimi and Grandpa for lunch and since we were in a time crunch because mimi needed to go back to work we went to McDonalds. On the way there this little boy fell asleep so he got to take a quick little nap on Momma while everyone ate lunch.

At this point we were originally planning on driving back home, but then we surprised Mimi and told her we were actually staying the night, and so we headed to Target for some pjs and necessities including coloring books and then headed to our room for a little rest and coloring.

When Mimi got off work we went over to play

and they broke out the felt house that they absolutely love!

Everyone was so tired, and these two cuddled up and fell right to sleep.

Wednesday we got up and lounged around in our pjs, ate some yummy sausage and French toast and then went to see Mimi one last time before leaving town

We stopped at the playground on the way out of town

and this girl was so brave and climbed on the rope part of the playground, with momma right next to her of course

This little boy is getting so big and started climbing the rock and log walls while we were here.

So that was our Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. Full of driving and playing on all the playgrounds and having a surprise last minute sleepover! It was such fun!
Come back tomorrow for the last and final part of our week, Thanksgiving on Thursday and Saturday!
Have a great day!

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
