Spring Break part 1

Last week was hectic!

Our Spring Break started the first week of April this year so we celebrated Easter to get our Spring Break started! We were invited to church with a good friend in our neighborhood so the oldest and Charlotte went with me to service. Riley does not do well in the nursery so he stayed home with Daddy so I could enjoy service, but he goes to our new church that we went to last week, he just sits in the hallway with me. So we went to Easter service and it was such a great service, and Charlotte my little social bug had such a blast!

We started with donuts and coffee and muffins and then this little girl went to her class and I went to service.

Then we met back up with the rest of the family and had lunch and I took pictures, because I knew they were going to get dirty in their outfits and I had to document it haha

After lunch we dyed Easter eggs, and then I hid them for the littles. They had a blast!

Charlotte knew what to do right away whereas Riley was unsure and ended up stomping on one of the eggs to begin with, it was hilarious but slightly frightening as well

super proud of himself

she was soo good at finding the eggs!

after all the egg fun, we took naps and then played outside. I had to switch car seats from my car to the van since I was taking all the kids to Athens Monday and Tuesday for the dentist, so I had to clean and get everything nice and shiny again since my hubs has been driving the van for work.

but once I was done with that we played and played and played until I had to come in for dinner and then the kids played out back until they were shivering and came inside for a movie.
We had a nice family dinner and then baths and bed since we were having to get up and leave in the morning.

We were up and in the car by 10 Monday morning and off to Athens. These kiddos were so excited when we finally got to Mimi's house. We had arrived to the hotel and checked in and let the kids run their wiggles out and use the bathroom and then hopped back in the car to see Mimi at work. I was exhausted so I ran to get coffee and then met back up with Mimi and Charlotte at Mimi's house, where we ate pizza and then immediately went outside to play.

This boy was happy to be running around with bubbles

and they had a new surprise waiting for them, a car to drive around Mimi's circle.

Giving me a goofy face after bath at Mimis and before leaving to go to the hotel.

these two sleep so well in the pull out bed at the hotel, so I knew they would sleep well that night after a long day!

The next day we were up bright and early for breakfast and dentist appointments for the older girls.

and then we went to the botanical gardens to kill time before lunch with Mimi and heading home

These two love being outside so I knew they would have a blast and whenever it is shorts and t-shirt whether you have to just enjoy it and run

She asked me to take her picture so I was more than happy to

and these are my favorite flowers besides roses!

Riley refused to sit next to sister but he found his favorite thing, a rock and decided to sit on it!

they were not too thrilled mommy wanted to sit them down and take a picture,

but then I got them to smile! :)

Here is a little flashback for you,

When Riley was 6 months old and Charlotte was still in diapers

on the same bench!
We lived in Athens and my wonderful sister took the kiddos 6 month pictures and then we moved shortly after Riley turned 6 months old so it was nice to be able to go back and see how much has changed. We are super excited they are building a children's garden with a playground! Definitely making more trips here as the years go on!

We visited the statues and then packed up and headed back to Mimi's work so we could head to lunch! We had some yummy quesadillas and then I paid for everyone's lunch and took Mimi back to work and then we headed out!

Riley was asleep before we got out of town and Charlotte soon followed, she was just very upset to be leaving Mimi so she cried for a little bit then calmed down and slept! (yes I am fully stopped in this photo, so don't worry!)

We made it home in time to look at the awesome clouds and run our wiggles out before the rain came!

So amazing to sit and watch!

So that was part 1 of our Spring Break! It started out super crazy but we made some fun memories!
Part 2 coming soon!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
