Spring Break Part 2

Hello all and Happy Thursday! Today I have a long post of the second half of Spring Break!Grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy!

Wednesday we had a stay at home and chill day! I cleaned the house, did laundry from our trip to Athens and just got to relax with my babies!

We played with chalk

and at the water table.

While big sister napped we left her home with the oldest and this boy and I had a mommy son date at Kroger getting a few things to get us through the next few days, such as coffee and milk haha

Thursday morning we were up early and playing with all the toys and cuddling!

Thursday afternoon we had some errands to run and we made a stop at Sonic for ice cream! This little was so excited

and so was this one, once he got his ice cream!

After ice cream we went home and got dinner cooked and then took a bath and went to bed early for our trip coming early the next morning!

Up bright and early, 6 am early,  and on our way to Charleston SC.

Our first stop was at the aquarium. We are members of the aquarium so it was fun to get in for just 8 dollars so the older two could feed the sting rays! It was so cool to watch and Riley and Charlotte are at the perfect ages and love going to see the fish!

My sweet boy!

The view from the aquarium is absolutely beautiful!

The first tank in the aquarium and these two were already so fascinated!

I love being able to take my babies to see things! The otters were out and swimming around today and Charlotte was so excited to sit and watch them!

On our way out of the first exhibit we saw them setting up a mermaid to take pictures with and you best believe this girl wanted her picture with a mermaid. She loves mermaids so she was so excited!

The kids had a great time running around to look at all the different things, at this aquarium, they incorporate legos into the tanks and Riley was fascinated. He loves building things and so when he saw this tank of just legos he was so intrigued!

The divers that dive into the ocean tank were dressed up as pirates, and other than Charlotte getting stepped on a few times we had a good time watching this show!

I let the kiddos play a lot more this trip than last! Riley is a bit older so he can keep up with his big sister better and so I would let them play on the different things they have throughout the aquarium for kids to play on!

They enjoyed walking over the shark pit to escape danger :) My fearless Riley just walked straight onto the lighted sharks and stomped them at first haha

So the main reason we went to the aquarium this week was because they were having the Weeki Wachee mermaids at the aquarium and I knew Charlotte would really enjoy seeing them, so when it lined up with spring break I knew it was perfect and we just had to go! Our very last thing we did was watch a mermaid swim around for twenty minutes and we took tons of pictures! It was seriously the best experience! Charlotte didn't stop talking about it for days!

After spending a couple hours at the aquarium, we went to lunch at East Bay Deli! We went last time we came to the aquarium and this time didn't disappoint either! I get the piggy potato which is pulled pork on top of a baked potato and it is seriously delicious! The kiddos loved the hot dogs and Charlotte ended up with everyone's pickles and was in pickle heaven!

After lunch we walked around Charleston! Last time it was pouring, but today it was sunny and 80 degrees so not too hot!

I love all the houses and architecture in Charleston!

This little loved seeing all the flowers and stopped to smell them a few times

this girl got tired and cranky so I threw her on my back and let the oldest girl push the stroller with Riley for a bit so her legs could rest!

We went to one of my favorite parts of town

and got lucky and got to sit on the swings today! Generally they are so busy you don't get a chance to!

then we went and sat down and just looked at the boats and waves and took a little break from walking!

I love that they love each other so much!

You can't go by this fountain without jumping in

He has never looked so excited!

She was soaked but loving it! and luckily it was warm enough so she didn't freeze!

On our way back to the van we stopped for some coffee and a smoothie and I looked over and these two were drawing and sitting so well together.

Bathroom break for Charlotte led to an adorable photo of these two! We got home in time to have pizza for dinner and wind down a bit for bed!

We had a great Spring Break filled with good adventures and some good quality time at home too! we had such fun in Charleston and in Athens and getting to experience things with my babies seriously just makes this momma so happy! I love showing these two the world!
Have a great day and see y'all soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to all! It's been a wonderful family weekend! Unfortunately our Memorial Day ended early, since Scott is now headed to work. He has to be in Miami, 7 am tomorrow! Yuck. Luckily Monday is almost over and we only have to make it until Friday until we see him again! Trying to stay positive and look at it as a good thing, not a bad. It is hard to see him leave, but I know he has to go to work. Charlotte was sad but luckily nap time was soon after he left so she transitioned into sleep fine. She will be upset when she gets up in a few but lots of cuddles, cartoons and playing until bed time will keep her preoccupied. We are headed to the beach this weekend, and then staying down there for the week while Scott works, but we will all be together and Mommy and Charlotte will be looking at houses while Daddy works so we will stay occupied with that and lots of pool time! Cannot wait until this week is over. May is almost over, then June is here! Cannot believe that! ...

Show and Tell Tuesday: School Photos

Happy Tuesday! Today I am joining Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday's and today we are showing Worst School Pictures! I have a combination of good and bad school pictures just to mix it up a little bit!  Little baby Cat right before Pre-K!  Back in 2005, I was in middle school and going through a short hair and converse phase where I wore a lot of black and tried to fit in with a certain group of people! I was such a goof And Throwing it back to 2004! Aren't I just cute?!  Senior Year of High School  Senior Year pictures! I had ridiculously long hair that didn't like to cooperate for pictures! Then I chopped all of my hair off before going off to college Kept it short second year of college And finally grew it out and even colored it, I was in a rebellious stage it seemed! Those are my worst and best school pictures! I don't have too many pictures from my school days just because everything was thrown away when I lef...

Life Lately!

Happy Monday! Its a little life lately post to catch up on our past week! I started back to school for my Masters, Scott started his senior year of undergrad and life has gone crazy!  This little is working on sitting up, and finding all of his toys that he didn't know he had until he became mobile. He isn't crawling but he is really good at rolling himself around the place!  With sister in school all day these two are becoming best friends! I'll catch Skyler pulling R's hair, but I will also catch them laughing and playing and reading together! It's the sweetest little bond!  He enjoyed rolling himself underneath his crib a lot, all while I was sitting in the room with him! He loves to explore, even when it means momma has to rescue him from under the bed :P Afternoon cartons, goldfish and playing with toys We have been reading lots of books lately, we are going to the library this week to get some books but Ri has enjoyed reading wha...
