Weekend Recap: all the cuddles!

Happy Monday Ya'll!

Back to the blogging world after having Baby #3!

Little boy is officially two weeks old as of yesterday, and I am two weeks post surgery! It has been an interesting transition over here! My mom was here to help with the two toddlers while I was recovering right after surgery and it was such a blessing! I didn't have to worry about them one bit because they were able to go to school, have snacks, play outside and just have some good quality time with their Mimi. Unfortunately a week flew by and Mimi had to leave. That was probably the hardest thing, just because with Skyler having a few health issues I was always with him and didn't really get to see my mom much! Luckily she will be back in a couple weeks to celebrate Char turning 5, um what?!, and we will get to see each other then!

With that being said, getting two toddlers and a newborn ready in the morning after being up all hours of the night has been hard. I have managed but it has been a learning curve for sure! Luckily Char can get herself ready and has not been late yet, and she has not missed any school except Friday when her teacher texted all the parents saying she had the flu, the teacher, not Char, so I just kept our sweet girl home to rest and make sure she didn't have any symptoms. Lucky she didn't and she went back to school today!

Friday
So our weekend started Friday bright and early with Daddy having the day off so we just got to chill and sit around and make a huge mess with our toys and watch cartoons!

I got some cuddles with this one, because why not!?

We ran some errands with Daddy as well, since I had an extra hand and needed to get a few groceries and knew I would need some help having three kiddos, one of which is so little I keep him in his car seat on a stroller to eliminate as much contact with germs and such as I can! Just until his little immune system can get stronger!

After shopping we got home, ate some chicken fingers for dinner and watched Lion King! Blessed to have these three littles to call mine, but boy am I one exhausted momma right now :P
Saturday
Saturday was spent cuddling and watching movies! I didn't leave my room expect to make bottles and meals for the toddlers, and they managed to take out every single toy in their room! It is still a disaster today, but hopefully we get around to cleaning up some of it after school! We will see!

all the dinosaur onesies we can wear!

Surprisingly he is wearing newborn clothes, but is starting to gain weight back after a rough first week, and I can already see a change in how the sleepers fit him!

This little guy has momma wrapped around his little finger! Every time he eats he has to hold my finger, and I think it is the most precious thing! I am loving this, even though it is very tiring! I would not trade it for anything!

Sunday

Sunday we spent playing with all the toys and watching what mommy wanted to watch, and it just so happened to be racing. I haven't watched car racing in years and it just so happened to be on the tv so we watched a good portion of it. Riley is obsessed with cars and anything fast so he was loving it, even though he would remember randomly that it wasn't cartoons and then get mad haha.

I didn't take many pictures Sunday because we honestly didn't do very much. We lounged and played with our toys and didn't leave our pajamas. We will eventually get back into a routine and eventually even start going back to church, but for now I watch the sermons on the website for our church, with a new baby life just seems to be on hold except work and school!

We got our portion of rain to start our morning then it cleared up until Sunday night and then it got pretty bad around here, a tornado even touched down in our county, so that contributed to not having any plans on top of being new to this whole family of five deal!

We did not have nearly as much damage as other places so please say a few prayers for the lives lost and property lost during the most recent bad storms, it got pretty ugly out there.

So there you have it! Our pajama and cuddles and all the toys everywhere filled weekend! It has been a hard but very good two weeks with our new little one! Getting back into a routine will be very helpful but for now I am soaking up all the newborn cuddles and the toddler screams and just soaking up time with my kids! It's been good to reset this momma's heart! Plus recovering from surgery has been easier this time around but still very difficult!

Thanks for stopping by! See you back here real soon!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...

Show and Tell Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm linking up with Andrea and doing Show and Tell Tuesday!  Today it is all about how to win your heart!  In the four years I have known Scott he has always known how to make my heart go pitter patter! Whether he is sitting with our children and playing and laughing with them, or on a pizza date where we both look awful because it is so spur of the moment because the kids went to Mimi's for the first time in a couple months we rush out so fast without showers, he knows how to speak to my heart!  Scott and I will be married three years this coming June and in those three years we have been married he goes above and beyond with speaking to my heart! Whether it is a random coffee or energy drink that he brings me while I'm chasing the kiddos, or just telling me to go to the bookstore and read a few magazines, I got the kids for a couple hours, it is those things that win me over day after day! What is different about our lo...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
