Life Lately: Summer Fun

Happy Tuesday Ya'll!
This summer I have been soaking in all the time with my sweet babies! I just cannot believe my baby girl will be going to Kindergarten in a few short weeks! It is super hot down where we live so we have been enjoying our time hanging out at home and making all of the messes but I thought I would share a little life lately of all the fun time we have been having!
The best thing I have done this summer is to just be present with my kids, and just enjoy the time I have with them, especially because last summer I worked so much that I never saw my sweet kids except for picking them up from one babysitter to give them to the next one. It was rough so this summer I made some changes and working on being present! Time flies, and babies don't keep, so soak up all the time you can with them!

Today we are catching up on the past couple weeks with life lately!

We are working on sitting up with this almost five month old! He will be five months old tomorrow, and I just can't believe how fast time is flying with this sweet boy!

The thunderstorms have been pretty epic lately, and I hate thunderstorms.
Seeing the sunset on one side of the house and a full blown thunder and lightening storm on the other was pretty cool

we broke out the fire pit and made Smore's and the kids were so excited

We went on a nature hike with Mimi and grandpa while they were in town visiting

and i just absolutely love where we live

This boy loves being outside :)

we can go right down the road and see marsh and rivers

and then we can go 30 minutes down the road and we are at the beach!
All this boy wanted to do was go to the beach

so on hubby's day off we took the boys to the beach

while big sister was in Raleigh with my my sister

We found wall art while walking around the mall one day and the kiddos wanted to get pictures :)

They are too short, but it was still really cute

Skyler's first fourth of July! Oh how I love these three

The neighbors set off fireworks well until midnight

and they were beautiful, but loud, so the older two kiddos watched a movie and Skyler slept in his swing while they were happening since he couldn't stay asleep with all the noise.

We held chickens while at a Fireworks BBQ

and I was surprised Riley held one. He loves to look at animals, but always is too shy to get in and hold them, so he surprised me this day.

My oldest and youngest! <3

Nothing beats ice cream

outside while the sun is going down!
Summer time is fun, especially when ice cream is involved.

So there we go, the last couple of weeks have been full of fun and relaxing days! We have enjoyed nature, ice cream, and just spending time together as a family!
I have a fun day in the life post from last week that will be going up this week so stay tuned for that!
Have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday Ya'll!  I am so glad it is Friday! It has been. rough week for this momma, the kiddos have been loud and crazy but have been so good this week but everything else is just super crazy haha!  Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Narci , Andrea and Erika !  So here are some random favorites that happened this week! Cuddles with this sweet boy have been a favorite this week! I have been having on and off contractions and lots of pain so I have been bed ridden for a good portion of the week and this little has hung out with me and watched cartoons! Cuddles are definitely a favorite!    Trying to let this boy in the house more and more since its been chilly outside.  While the training process has been rough, he has started to snooze in the afternoons and those are definitely a favorite!  Breakfast conversations with these two are a favorite from this week! It is always non-stop with these t...

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
