It is May!

Wow! I cannot believe it is already May!
Last week we had a cookout with our coworkers and it took me all week to recover getting the house back in shape, then Riley came down with his very first cold, then Charlotte then I got sick for 24 hours Saturday and then Sunday was spent playing outside and just getting ready for the week! The cookout was such a blast that I took no pictures! It was nice to have people we consider family over to enjoy our new home and some really good food! The hubs is a grill master! I cannot wait for the summer when we can grill out more and more!
I also started unpacking the massive amounts of books that we have, two boxes down, 18 to go, or so it feels! Just glad I made some progress on Sunday since I couldn't move Saturday, except for to take care of the kiddos which took all the energy out of me! So glad to be feeling better and to be back at it this week!

Here are some pictures from this weekend

We did a lot of swinging on the back patio! These two love to swing with Momma but Charlotte will not go on a swing at the playground! Such a goof!

The kiddos were fascinated with being able to sit together in the buggy, and Charlotte was not being mean she was just trying to put her hand somewhere since my hands were on her side!

We played soccer with the large bouncy ball, and the small little tykes ball but I didn't take pictures of that

And I took this as I was putting laundry away! Is that not just gorgeous!? I love the sunsets from our house, they are just beautiful

Sunday after I was feeling better we had to make a rest of the necessities for the week run! Riley rode next to his big sis again and this time got to drive with her and it was the cutest thing hearing them talk in their own language and steer the steering wheels!

It poured down rain when we were leaving for the grocery store about noon, but cleared up within minutes! Well about 6 oclock more clouds came rolling in! After a day of playing with sidewalk chalk, the bouncy ball, bubbles and soccer ball this girl did not want to go in so I finally made her go in right as the rain started! The joys of summer right? Staying out until way past bedtime, well at least for this girl. Riley was in bed at his usual time and slept good most of the night and was not woken by bath time for Char or bed time either!

It was a good weekend with an unexpected bug for 24 hours that left me useless and kept the kiddos playing with each other most of the day! Luckily Char and Riley didn't get it, but they have some nasty upper respiratory thing and if it doesn't go away soon I will have to be finding a doctor.

But first, we are getting blinds today, or at least measurements for our blinds today! I know, I know, shouldn't I already have blinds? haha
Our house luckily backs up to swampy, grassland, forest

That is a panorama of our back yard ignore the soaking wet furniture, it rained last night :) , our property goes back into the woods but the fence is for the kiddos so they don't wander off and for the dog too. Aren't the trees gorgeous!?
I'm not quite used to living in the country yet so all the wildlife back there freaks me out, except for the owl which is really cool to listen to and I even saw it the other night :)

Well back to my story, because we have this behind us I didn't really worry too much about the lack of blinds. We just close our closet door to change in the bathroom and no one is in the dining room to eat yet so we don't need them there but with the girls coming in three weeks we needed to start the blinds process, so alas the day has come that our bedrooms get blinds, the dining room gets blinds, our master closet gets blinds, and the office gets blinds! And I am leaving the living room open and putting curtains up! Am I weird for doing that? I love looking out and seeing the trees and at night I can close the curtains

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday and had an awesome weekend! I'm very thankful that I am once again healthy and able to run after the kiddos instead of watch them play on the floor with cartoons playing! Cartoons save the day for a sick mom!

XOXO

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday Ya'll!  I am so glad it is Friday! It has been. rough week for this momma, the kiddos have been loud and crazy but have been so good this week but everything else is just super crazy haha!  Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Narci , Andrea and Erika !  So here are some random favorites that happened this week! Cuddles with this sweet boy have been a favorite this week! I have been having on and off contractions and lots of pain so I have been bed ridden for a good portion of the week and this little has hung out with me and watched cartoons! Cuddles are definitely a favorite!    Trying to let this boy in the house more and more since its been chilly outside.  While the training process has been rough, he has started to snooze in the afternoons and those are definitely a favorite!  Breakfast conversations with these two are a favorite from this week! It is always non-stop with these t...

Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
