Throwback Thursday: Riley's First Birthday Part Two edition

Happy Thursday! Today I am doing at Throwback Thursday Post: Riley's First Birthday Part Two edition.
Back in October I was talking about Riley's First Birthday celebration weekend. With my dad having hip surgery he was unable to travel so Riley had a unique twist on his birthday and we celebrated with neighbors and friends at our house on the Saturday before his birthday and on his birthday we drove up to Mimi's house and celebrated with family up there! It was a long weekend full of cake, presents, and love for our sweet one year old boy!
Sorry this is so late, but sometimes life happens so today we are going to recap and reflect on celebrating our baby boy!
Join me!

Our day started incredibly early, we were packed in the car with all of our stuffed animals, favorite blankets, pj's, milk and breakfast at 7 am.

By about 11 this girl was decked out in her sunglasses and more toys

And hubs and I were wired from our third cup of coffee.

It is a four and a half hour drive up to Mimi's from where we live and normally the kiddos do wonderfully, some days they have issues but generally they do very well. On the way up they were great. They played with all their toys, ate breakfast and just snoozed the whole time.

This boy was excited about being able to run around. After outfit and diaper  changes it was running around and eating lunch. Scott and I left the kiddos with Mimi and Grandpa for a quick run to the store to grab some supplies and to get the balloons since I was not transporting balloons four and a half hours with us. So we ran some quick errands and came back right in time for our guests to arrive

Chicken fingers, sandwiches, chips, fruit, veggies, cheese, you name it, we had it!

He was so happy about lunch time he wanted to shout at everyone.

Decorations

And his birthday cake and smash cake, both made my Mimi :)

Playing with toys and climbing on daddy was next after eating some yummy food.

This tie did not last long, but it is okay because we got the picture before he removed it

Then it was time for cake. He was so confused

But it did not take him long before he dug in. He was not hesitant at all about the cake like his big sister was when she turned one.

He was so exicted

Messy boy!

Will tried feeding him with a spoon and he did not want it.

After a quick bath to clean up, we did presents and then had to leave. It was sad having to leave so early but Scott had to be at work on Monday and we had a doctor's appointment for his one year check up early on Monday morning. We had such a wonderful time celebrating our baby boy turning one with our family, we wish we could have stayed longer :)
This little boy is so loved and I am thankful to have such a wonderful family to have around the babies!

Thanks for stopping by today! It was a long post but a good happy post!
Have a great day!

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...
