Day in the Life: May 2017

Howdy!

It has been a hot minute since I have blogged. We took Spring Break and then it seemed our schedules were just non-stop running. It finally ended Sunday after a crazy weekend of driving and picking kids up and getting very little if any sleep. Today I thought it would be fun to jump back into blogging by doing a Day in the Life post! I absolutely love these posts, and being able to document them from time to time helps see just how different things are in our lives or how very little has changed! So I picked a random day, and my day was last Tuesday May 2, 2017.

Sit back, grab a snack and enjoy a day in our crazy life!

Hubbs was up at 5:30 this morning, but I slept in until 6:15. Charlotte had been up at 2 having to use the bathroom so I needed a few minutes to get myself together before getting up, so I set a later alarm.

Kisses for hubby, coffee in hand and upstairs because I knew Char would be looking for me soon.

This morning brother decided to join us super early and so both kiddos were up and in my room at 6:24 this morning.

At 6:30 we sat out on our front porch and waved bye to daddy as he left for work. We did the kisses and hugs inside and then they wanted to wave bye so we sat and watched him leave as well this morning

Then it was milk for Riley, and OJ for Charlie

and back upstairs because mommy really needed to wash her hair, so I put on Netflix cartoons for these two and hopped into the shower really quick

After my shower it was time for a diaper change for this boy and cuddles

Back downstairs with bananas in hand

and more cuddles, since this boy is always attached to my hip at all times

Leftover lemon poppy seed muffins for breakfast with yogurt

Breakfast for these littles

while I emptied the dishwasher and then reloaded it, but didn't start it yet

I made myself a quick egg burrito with of course some yummy hot sauce

and then let the dog out at 8 because the sprinklers go off every other morning and today was one of those mornings so he had to wait a bit

Then it is time for work(catching up on my calendar, taking care of bills, etc) and reading my favorite blogs for the morning. This is also normally the time that I post my blogs, but it has taken the backseat for a few weeks so I wasn't working on a blog this day)

Then I head upstairs to start a load of laundry

And tidy up our bedroom and brush my teeth.

This boy has decided he wants to wear his breakfast

and Char helps me sweep up breakfast

Then it is upstairs and dressed for these two, hair brushed and teeth brushed
and by 9 we are in the playroom playing

I check in on the kids and they are in the bedroom reading books with animals

We have cookies and milk for a snack today

and by 12:15 these two love bugs are in bed with books to go down for naps

Hubby got home early today from work and brought me pizza for lunch! It was so delicious

at 2:20 I hear this girl come out of the bedroom and she runs to the bathroom and then she joins Mommy and Daddy downstairs

at 3:45 this little wakes up from his nap and is ready for more cuddles with momma

4:00 these two have sandwiches and chips and water to drink

6:15 we are at the high school waiting to pick up the high schooler from drama club. she gets out at 6:30

It is a late night for dinner, I don't get the chance to start dinner until 7 tonight. Chicken and mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner

at 8:30 we are out of the bath and ready to get dressed in pjs

Dressed, hair brushed, and teeth brushed and last little wrestle between these two

Jammies and last cuddles and hugs for the night and into bed these two go.

After the kiddos go to bed and on nights Scott is home we watch tv, or play video games together. Tonight we played Minecraft together until about 10:15 and then headed upstairs to brush teeth and get ready for bed.

Alarms set for Scott and then mine alarm at 6:15, because sometimes I will get up with him and others I just cannot get out of bed

Night night world!

I like to have the kids to bed no later than 8:30 but for the past couple of weeks it hasn't been so easy because I have been picking up their big sister from school at 6:30. It has been a rough couple of weeks and the next two weeks are pretty busy as well with last minute events and activities until school gets out so we are going to be running around like crazy! Cannot wait for this school year to be over and to go into summer! It already feels like summer here with temperatures in the 90s we just need to have nothing to do on these days and we will feel good!

If you missed my last day in the Life posts you can see those

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

It has been. rough week for this momma, the kiddos have been loud and crazy but have been so good this week but everything else is just super crazy haha!  Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites with Narci , Andrea and Erika !  So here are some random favorites that happened this week! Cuddles with this sweet boy have been a favorite this week! I have been having on and off contractions and lots of pain so I have been bed ridden for a good portion of the week and this little has hung out with me and watched cartoons! Cuddles are definitely a favorite!    Trying to let this boy in the house more and more since its been chilly outside.  While the training process has been rough, he has started to snooze in the afternoons and those are definitely a favorite!  Breakfast conversations with these two are a favorite from this week! Show and Tell Tuesday! House Tour 2016

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday! Today it is House Tour! I have always loved these posts, but have never participated in one because of the fact that we were in a two bedroom apartment, which was tiny for our family of four. This past April we bought our home and moved in and three months later we are finally here at this post and I am so excited to join along and invite you all into our home! It is still a work in progress and none of the walls have been re-painted but I am loving all the grey tones for now, it keeps the home neutral and cool until I feel like spicing things up! Come on in!  We are still decorated from Fourth of July, but here is the front entrance.  When you walk into our home this is the first thing you see. There is a hallway to the left of the staircase, and to the right is the dining room. This is our formal dining room! I need to do an updated tour of this room but for now I b...

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...
