Show and Tell Tuesday: House Tour 2017

Holy cow its been a while since I have been on here. With school getting out and summer starting and working long days and then traveling a lot the past week its been crazy! What better way to get back into it though by linking up with Andrea for  Show and Tell Tuesday: Home Tour edition! We moved into our home last April so it will be nice to see how everything has changed since then!

Come on in! this is our entrance, We have the stairs to the right

and a hallway to the left. We also purchased a grandfather clock and it is one of my favorite things we have added to the house!

The room to the right of our entrance is our formal dining room. This was our very first room done and we have hosted birthday parties in here, and my parents even came down for Thanksgiving and sat in here so we are loving entertaining in this room!

Next is my favorite room in the house, my kitchen

It is large, open and absolutely beautiful! I love it so much

One of the things we needed was an open concept house, so we have the living room, kitchen and dining area open, so I can be cooking dinner or washing dishes and watch the kids playing in the living room.

We purchased a new table to eat at earlier this year, in June, and it was on major sale and I absolutely love it. For the time being the kids sit in the chairs they used at our old table and it works perfectly because they can sit together on the end, but I am already shopping for some end chairs to square it up when they get older

We rearranged our furniture in the living room to make it more cozy and roomy! This layout had to grow on me a bit, I hated it at first but it is perfect now and works for entertaining but also being able to keep an eye on everyone

My office has gotten a bit of a makeover as well. The hubs built me a desk and a shelf for above it so we can put our three monitors up there. I love it so much and it makes being productive all the easier! This room is right off the living room so I can hear the kiddos and look through the door if they need me, so it is perfectly placed!
As we go up the stairs this is the landing. The toys have spilled into the landing but at least they are all picked up and in bins

this is my little reading nook at the top of the landing! It is the perfect little chair that I got for just a dollar at a yard sale!

The laundry room, has also gotten a makeover with new machines, a hand build stand for them to sit on and a shelving unit to hold things on!

We also have the guest bedroom/girls bedroom, and a guest bathroom upstairs as well that are next to the laundry room.

Up next, we have the kids room. They now share a bedroom, for some reason they sleep so much better that way!
And the closet that they share. I just got done with all of their laundry so the closet is full and organized!

Riley's old room is now a playroom slash room for guests to sleep in, see the new futon we purchased! They have a million toys

and some of the winter clothes spill into this closet that houses toys, and suitcases and anything else kiddos!
Finally is our master bedroom. We now have a frame for our bed and a few more shelves and bookshelves that were added because the kiddos kept destroying them

Our bathroom

and my vanity is now in the closet on my side so I can pick out my outfits and do my makeup whenever I put makeup on!

My side of the closet

His side of the closet

Ignore the mess, we keep most of the house clean but with chasing everyone around keeping all of it clean is impossible! I like that it looks more lived in now a year later!

So there you have it! Our home!
Still have not decided on paint colors or painted anything but there have been subtle changes since the last house tour I shared. If you missed that you can check it out here

It is so nice to be back on the blog! Thanks for stopping by!

2019 Year In Review: Part 3

Hello!  It is such a hard time in the world right now. It has been a couple months since I last wrote, life has been busy, but while everyone is social distancing, staying home, and doing our part to get rid of this nasty virus I wanted to post some memories of last year to remember. October-December of 2019 were packed full of activities, and just going through the pictures is exhausting, so I have no idea how I even kept up! Grab a drink, and cozy up and I hope you enjoy! October  October started out with birthday naps. All three kiddos are in the same room, and I was laying on the bed with Skyler and we all napped and was just what this momma needed for her birthday!  Hubby brought me the most beautiful flowers for my day and we got booed, by a mystery neighbor Naps were had, especially in mommy's arms  and all of the kindergarten crafts occurred. We painted a pumpkin after her favorite book character Ferdinand.  Quick f...

Show and Tell Tuesday: Prom night!

Happy Tuesday! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday, and today we are talking all about Prom! Here are a few facts first before all the pictures of itty bitty high school me! 1) I dated the same boy from freshman year of high school until senior year of high school so he was my date for his junior and senior prom which was my sophomore year and junior year. 2) I went with my best friend my senior year. I had a good time, but missed my boyfriend pretty much the whole time. 3) I went all out for my first prom sophomore year, with my hair, nails and prom dress and then again my senior year. 4) I only participated in senior skip day, which really isn't a thing but seniors do it anyways at my high school, my senior year. My best friend and I met super early on the day of Prom for breakfast and coffee and then just spent the rest of the day together doing random things like shopping, then getting our nails done with one of our other friends, and then ...
