Frozen Tundra Part 2

So I know I said I would post this three days ago, however sometimes life gets away from you. So today, I am posting the rest of our trip! :) There are more pictures than last post so bear with me! My husband is so tall that he had to duck through the parking deck! MMMM Hot Dogs The skyline is my favorite So much ice. It was so cold out on the pier that we didn't stay for long! Charlotte with an anchor!  All the rivers and the beach were completely frozen and icy, except for the Chicago River that flows through the city.  The sun going down as we head home! The lake was complete ice and was beautiful!  Not sure she wanted to be home! Look at that lip! :)  Have a great day!  XOXO

Part 1 of Frozen Tundra Adventures

Finally getting around to being able to blog about our trip! It is going to be mostly pictures and in two parts because there are so many pictures and I already narrowed it down to the next two blog posts! So enjoy! This is a rest area! They converted an old house into a rest area where you go into the house for t  the bathrooms. By far one of the coolest rest areas I have been to, and with being on a truck for 7 months that is a lot of rest areas!                                                  Look at that smile! Snow, snow and more snow The parking lot was covered in ice. It was pretty scary to walk!  Smiles! I love this little one! Charlotte's first snow! Safe to say she was not a fan! Which way to go oh my? Pizza, Yum! I love when she wants to sleep on my chest!    Ready for our adventure out and about. See her new boots!  She loved the fish My girl and I, and the waiter that photo-bombed us They

itchy and grouchy=> not happy mommy

So I finally got a minute to blog. I was going to write about our recent trip but I'm currently covered in bites and itching so I'm not really patient enough to write about our trip much less post pictures so bear with me. I took Scott down to work and unfortunately ended up with like 100 flea bites because we stayed in another room, not our normal room we always stay in. Not sure why, but this mama is not happy because I woke up itchy and swollen and not happy. I've been trying not to scratch all day but that is easier said than done. So yeah. I'm grouchy, tired, and want to cuddle with Scott, who is at work currently and won't be home until tomorrow. Yuck. Off to do dishes, more laundry and get ready for class tomorrow. It's been two weeks since I have had class so we will see how it goes. Especially with my all red and itchy. Hopefully my eye doesn't get worse or people will think something is severely wrong with me! On a much more positive note, Cha

Back from the Frozen land

I will do an update on our travels later this week. We just got home at 5 am this morning and we were both exhausted and passed out! 11 hours of driving can really wear you down. Scott drove most of the way but I drove a few hours too overall! Gotta get the house stocked up and ready for the week! So glad I don't have classes today! That would just add some much unneeded stress for the day! Gotta go pick up the car, get some groceries, and just do laundry and get everything situated for the week! Clipping my coupons, baby is fed, and we are getting ready to get our day started. Yes its 12:30 in the afternoon already. We woke up at 11. We were exhausted and Charlotte actually let us sleep that long! We are also behind an hour because we have been up north for a week, and we were back an hour where we were. Soooo we are all kinds of screwed on time haha! Lots to do! Have a lovely day! XOXO

Into the Frozen tundra we go!

Tomorrow we head north! Into the bitter cold and snow. Charlotte's first snow but boy are we going to freeze! Excited but nervous too! We got home Saturday and it was 50 degrees in our apartment. That is what we get for being gone for four days! Well I tried to warm the house as quickly as possible, but it is pretty slow and I think Charlotte caught a cold from being in the cold. I didn't even take her shoes, or jacket off but I guess she caught a chill and now she has a runny nose and a cough again. Ugh. It's never ending I suppose. Luckily it isn't awful and she is already doing much better! Her ear infection is finally gone, she popped four new teeth, which is why she was grumpy and sick and just not happy. For some reason she gets all of her teeth together in sets, so she got her first two bottom teeth together and now she just got four top teeth! Exciting but heartbreaking at the same time because she is so upset. :( School is getting crazier and crazier and cr

Cold and stress, not a good combination

It was way too cold today! We are down  with Scott again for a few days since I had to bring him down here. His truck is back in the shop and our original truck was brought back down from Charlotte NC, so we drove down Tuesday night and have been here since. I go back up on Saturday morning while Scott goes to a job and then he comes home for two days before heading up north. School work is hectic, baby is doing good, but has four new teeth! No wonder she has been so grumpy and clingy, she has been in some serious pain! Poor baby!  Today we stayed inside all day! It is way too cold for baby to be out and about! I'm just glad we aren't back at home where its about 20 degrees colder than down here. It would be insane! We took Scott to the doctor after meeting some friends for dinner! He had his elbow drained again (when I say again, this is the third time). He fell off the back of the truck back in August and got pretty bruised and scratched up. Everything seemed to be healing

Back to School for this Momma

My weekend was pretty uneventful. We were all getting over coughs and flus and sneezing and all that so we mostly stayed home. We cleaned the house, baked a cake, I cooked three meals which is a big deal for me since I'm still learning how to cook, and let the dishes pile up and up and up haha. It was my worst nightmare but with little motivation and being sick I couldn't get around to doing them. The house is finally clean, the Christmas tree is down, all decorations are packed up and everything is back to being spotless and clean. Today was very very hectic. I started classes again and today I had to actually go to campus. For one class it was to just get the syllabus and for my second class I have to go every Monday because it is my senior capstone class. I'm still having to work schedules out with my school since I cannot find a babysitter for every day and hopefully they work with me like they have been, or once again I'm going to have to stop taking classes.
