Busy but fun weekend!

Good morning! It was a beautiful weekend, but a long busy one! We went and visited Mimi and Grandpa and the kiddos stayed with Mimi while Scott and I went to G day and got to have some date time! It was nice. The dog we left with Aunt Kayli so he had some puppy play time with her dogs! It was fun to just be one on one with the hubs because it has been forever since he has had a day off much less have time to just goof off and have a good day together! The kiddos and Mimi had a great time and about 7 o'clock we went and picked up the kids and the dog to come back home! Sunday was spent lounging around, having our Sunday breakfast of sausage and eggs and then unpacking the millions of boxes we have from our move! We all crashed hard when it was time for bed! It was such a fun family weekend and now its back to the grind of things, Scott is off to work and I am off to clean, pick up and probably continue unpacking throughout the day! Here are a few pictures summing up the fun! ...

Finally able to breathe :)

Just like that, the stress is over! We are finally done! We are now home owners after two and a half weeks in a hotel! Whew! That was a long, stressful and busy process! We finished up all the paperwork yesterday afternoon, and now I finally have a chance to sit down in my new office and blog! I am so very excited! It is still so fresh and exciting! Our closing date was moved three times before yesterday so the kiddos and I are happy to be in our own beds, and happy to have space to run around again! The dog loves the yard, but is a digger so if anyone has any way to prevent a dog from digging let me know? He is a dog and some holes are normal, but when it comes to him trying to escape the fence, then I have a problem! Despite all the changes and stress it was still being able to see the hubs every night since we are now living only 10 minutes away from where he works. I have only not seen him one night for the three weeks that we have been down here, and I am thankful and grateful...

Two kiddos and a dog in a hotel kind of busy!

It's been so crazy busy and the crazy is not even over yet! Since my last post on St. Patrick's Day we have been down to take care of some business for the day driven back up to Athens, taken Easter pictures, packed up our entire apartment, loaded it three separate times onto the truck, and finally moved out on Easter Sunday. The kids got Easter baskets even though the apartment was empty except for last minute items to pack and load, we cleaned all day that day, put the kiddos in their pj's, closed the apartment door for the last time and drove to our hotel room 5 hours away. Luckily we got to see Mimi and Grandpa one last time before saying goodbye, they had just gotten back from vacation in Florida. It was sad to not have them here our last week but they had a wonderful time on vacation. Living in a hotel room with two kiddos and a dog is quite the adventure, to say the least. We are all going stir crazy and have been here now for two weeks. Hoping that changes sometime ...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Thursday and St. Patrick's Day Everyone! Even though all of our arts and crafts are packed up and in boxes, we are still celebrating with some festive shirts that we got last week on clearance! It's Riley's first St. Patrick's Day and Charlotte's third, since she is a March baby! Today we aren't doing too much. Just sitting at home playing with toys, bouncing in the bouncer, reading books, watching some cartoons and just hanging out. I'll probably get to working on packing the kitchen and cleaning but today is so far planned to be relaxing. However that might change if I need to take care of any business that pops up! So let's hope for relaxation today, this stressed out Momma needs it!  I hope everyone has a safe and fun St. Patrick's Day and a wonderful Thursday!  XOXO

Weekend Recap

The kiddos are both napping after the traumatic experience of getting shots at the doctor! Charlotte is such a clinger when it comes to the doctor. She just absolutely hates it! Riley didn't mind too much until he got his second shot, which is 4 shots in one. My poor littles! I feel so bad having to take them and them get shots but I know it is good and keeps them protected! This weekend we drove back up to Athens and celebrated Charlotte's birthday! We had a family birthday party, and had lots of fun just celebrating our beautiful two year old! Sunday was spent packing, packing, and packing and moving a majority of our stuff into storage. Two weeks until we say goodbye to our apartment! I'm excited but very sad as well! We brought our babies home here but we are so excited to have a home with more space and a yard to play in!  Charlotte napped with her doc mcstuffins bag the whole way home!  The sunset was absolutely gorgeous!  And within 5 minutes the...

Busy month ahead

Happy Friday Everyone! And welcome to March as well! It has been a while since I have blogged! It's crazy busy here, with giving our notice to our apartment complex, driving down to Savannah overnight, looking at houses with two screaming kids, and trying to make a major decision for the next step in our family's lives is a major deal! I've been dealing with the kiddos and the house and just keeping everything straight and unfortunately it is just going to get busier from here. I will try and blog at least once a week until the end of this month when things can pick back up again, but for now I'm focused on chasing two kiddos and the dog, packing up our apartment, doing all things related to buying a house and trying to keep my head on! It's a fun and exciting process but at the same time it is overwhelming, exhausting, and definitely scary because I'm tired and stressed and just want this to be over with already and it just started! Here's to hoping every...
