Stressed!

STRESSED STRESSED STRESSED! That might actually be an understatement. Not only am I worried about the next week and a half of school, but now I'm worrying about next semester and classes don't even start until January. The issue I have run into, which I knew would happen sooner or later, finding a babysitter so that I can go to class Monday's and Friday's. Urgh. This is not what I needed. I'm tempted to ask a friend from college but I don't want to burden someone because I had a kid before completing college. I should be sleeping, but I can't. My mind is racing and I can't get it to un-race so I decided I would try blogging and see if it helped! SO here goes nothing haha XOXO

Catching up!

Not doing homework for two days really really hurt. I took my novel for English that I have to write a paper on by Tuesday and didn't end up reading at all. I just wanted to spend time with my husband more than anything. I miss him so much and we just parted ways at 8 am this morning. I was crying on my drive up because I knew I wouldn't see him for a while. It really really sucked. Charlotte and I went to my Mom's for our Thanksgiving meal with the rest of the family. She had a good time, but she was definitely overwhelmed by all the people(most hadn't seen her since she was born, and my cousins haven't met her at all) so she was definitely like who are all of these people! She had a good time eating Mommy's dinner and playing though and she even took a short little nap, which was only like 20 minutes long, but still! She got some crazy bed head as a result. We went Black Friday shopping last night for an hour. Got Charlotte a bunch of clothes(and by bunch

Happy Thanksgiving!

Scott unloaded a customer in Virginia yesterday. It snowed, it was a 9 hour drive and on his way back the truck broke down. Not something you want to have happen the day before Thanksgiving. At about 1 am I took off for a three hour drive up to North Carolina to go pick him up so we could get home for Thanksgiving lunch at my grandmother's. We didn't get back until 6 am this morning but we are all together and we are all safe! I am so thankful for my husband and beautiful daughter, my family and friends, my health and everyone's health and especially being able to continue going through the hard and difficult times. I am thankful for all the truckers out there, especially the ones that cannot get home to their families today because they are getting things moved for everyone! I'm thankful for our troops as well for defending our country and making home safe for us. I am very thankful this year, and I'm very blessed to have everything I do. Time to get everything

clean up day

Today was full of laundry, dishes and getting everything cleaned up before Holiday travels! Got all the laundry done except for one load and most of the dishes done. It was a little difficult because Charlotte would literally scream and get really upset if I turned a corner or even moved from her vision so I did a lot of stuff with her sitting right next to me! Not so easy with an active crawler haha but it got done. Scott got back home tonight after 21 hours of driving and working so he is EXHAUSTED but we are watching a movie to wind down and then go to bed. Headed to Virginia before Thanksgiving, then to Gma's for lunch on Thanksgiving. Charlotte's first Thanksgiving then maybe we can decorate for Christmas before Scott runs back to work. Maybe just maybe. Guess we will find out! XOXO

Sunday Summary

Went to church today even though it was an ugly cold wet day! Got our grocery shopping done as well, and I took my exam and did my post for the night. Now baby and hubby are in bed until hubby has to be up to go to work :( We aren't going  with him this time which makes Mommy sad but he will be back Tuesday so just one day isn't going to hurt too bad. I will be sad but I can handle it. Have some stuff to do around the house like laundry, and dishes, and baking and cooking for Thanksgiving! It's Charlotte's first Thanksgiving and I'm super excited even though Scott has to leave that night for work and I cannot go with him because I have class on Monday. It's going to be a crazy hectic week but hopefully nothing goes horribly wrong. I'm going to go watch my television shows I need to go catch up on. Goodnight! XOXO

It's FRIDAY! Finally

So today is a happy but sad day! One its Friday which is always a cause for celebration! We made it through another week! Two we are going home today! We have been away from home going on two weeks now. We popped into the apartment for a few days last weekend on our way to Nashville and then back to Savannah twice, but other than that we have been in a hotel for two weeks, so it will be nice to have all of Charlotte's toys, her cribs, my huge bed with comfortable pillows and my television. It is a sad day though because Scott doesn't get to stay home with us. He has to remain in Savannah and work tomorrow and Sunday and Monday. Then Tuesday we are headed to Virginia for a quick drop off before running back home to be with my family for Thanksgiving. But it gets worse.... Scott has to leave Thanksgiving night to be back at work Friday. So we get him part of Thanksgiving, which is Charlotte's first Thanksgiving, but not all of it. It's pretty upsetting to me, but I k

Insane Weekend!!!! Finally over

The weekend of insanity is finally over! We are back in Savannah safe and sound with not one but two trucks now! :) Baby is being a bit more difficult to put to bed because she took a long long long nap today while we drove down here for the second time but luckily she will be in bed soon. Two hours, almost three past her bedtime. Urgh. Took a test, wrote and submitted my paper, now time to rest and relax and wait for tomorrow. Scott has to work, I have to write a rough draft to a paper and Charlotte has to be watched haha. Fun Fun. Off to bed! XOXO

Crazy hectic day and crazy hectic week. Urgh

It's crazy how plans change in the blink of an eye with this family! We went from a somewhat relaxing weekend in Tennessee to a hectic driving weekend! We are in Tennessee for the night but have to be up at 6:30 am to go pick up my car from the shop. (It needed two new tires and some rotors that we have been putting off for 6 months)! Then we are shuttling trucks all weekend. In other words: I am driving the car behind Scott who is driving a truck down to Savannah, then we are going back home with the car to pick up his truck and then going back down to Savannah so he can work Monday. It's going to be a long weekend and its going to be a stressful weekend. Charlotte has a cold, I have a cold or bronchitis or both, and Scott has a cold but won't admit to it! I have an exam on Sunday due before 11:00 pm and I am nowhere near ready for it. Just like the first one, I am soooo stressed about it so this weekend being so full doesn't help. But we will get through it! It'

Finally asleep after being woken up multiple times!

Baby is in bed for the night! Let's hope she sleeps all night tonight, unlike last night. Urgh last night was a rough one. One of the roughest nights in a while. She seems to be doing a lot better since I did not run the AC all day. Whenever the room got hot we would open the door or go play outside. It was a beautiful day today down here. Not too hold and not too cold. Headed home in the morning though, Gotta wash lots and lots of laundry, do some homework assignments, get some more food packed, switch out hot weather clothes for cold weather clothes, buy Charlotte some mittens, and get everything ready before our weekend getaway to Tennessee! It's going to be sooooo cold, but I'm excited to see the changes of the leaves! Hopefully they are still out and beautiful since we have been bombarded with Winter all of a sudden. Charlotte turned 8 months old today! She has grown up so much! I cannot believe it and I say this everytime, but I feel like it was yesterday we wer

Sick baby girl

Its been way too crazy since my last post.I really suck at posting everyday! Charlotte was getting over her sinus infection with the help of her antibiotic but she seems to have it again and whenever she is sick she needs mommy 100% of the time. So I've been cuddling and up all times of the day and she only naps for 20 minutes until she cannot breathe again. I blame this hotel room we are in, I think the air conditioning units have some sort of allergen or mold that is giving Charlotte a sinus infection. We are currently with Daddy in Savannah while he loads a truck and then we are headed home before going to Tennessee for the weekend. Hopefully Charlotte gets to feeling better or its going to be a long week. The hotel people just woke Charlotte up from her nap which I just managed to get her to lay down. Crap. Gotta run XOXO

First play date

Charlotte had her first ever play date today! Scott had to pick up a truck from a coworker who lives two hours away from us and so the two babies, Brody who is 14 months and Charlotte who is 8 months were introduced. They first started out jealous of each other and did not share well, but after a few minutes they got along pretty easily and played well  together! It was such a blast seeing the two interact with each other! Update since my last post: Florida was a blast. We went to the beach twice and it was absolutely beautiful! I love the gulf side of Florida, the water is so crystal clear and beautiful and Charlotte is such a beach baby and absolutely loves water! She couldn't stop staring at it. We came back on Halloween, which was Charlotte's first ever halloween, and it was fun dressing up and taking her to Mimi's! Daddy and I went downtown with my best friend Jenni and went to the parade and then went to dinner afterwards! It was weird being without b

Busy week leads to relaxing weekend!

Its been a crazy sleepless week in the Wicks household.  Charlotte somehow ended up really sick the day we got to Florida so mommy didn't get much sleep the first few days but other than that it was a somewhat enjoyable trip. Scott was super stressed about the job and about Charlotte being sick but he got the job done and we got to go to the beach twice. Once to a place he wanted to go and find because he heard about it from the hotel people and the second we accidentally ran into while driving around. They were both beautiful and even though it was hot it was a great time spending the afternoon with the family, all three of us together! Charlotte rode her first swing, and her first slide, played X's and O's with daddy and even got to see a horseshoe crab in the grass that had been killed, poor thing. We got back home Friday around 6, it would have been earlier if we hadn't of blown a tire. But we got home, got ready for Halloween and took off to Mimi's house for Ch
