Weekend Recap: Park and Cuddles

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend and a wonderful Monday! Today I am doing our weekend recap! We had a busy but cuddly weekend and soaked up the warm weather and sunshine since it has been raining since Sunday afternoon and it about to get pretty serious in a few hours here. Not excited about the severe weather but glad to have my babies here with me and we will enjoy playing and reading and just waiting the nasty weather out. On Friday, this little started out in her Minnie Mouse dress!  And we took pictures while playing with toys on the floor! Charlotte is such a goof!  Then we headed to a new park! I have heard so many good things about this park and it definitely did not disappoint! It was so much fun! A tot area that is fenced off from the bigger area was perfect for Charlotte and Friday there was just one other person playing on the playground. The tunnel She hates swings, so this only lasted about 5 minutes before sh

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I am so happy it is Friday! Today I am linking up with Andrea , Erika , and Narci and showing you my Friday Favorites!  This week has been all about the cuddles and this week both of my kiddos have wanted cuddles! Cuddles with my kids are definitely a favorite, especially when Charlotte decides she needs Momma! :)  Ive been working on Riley's baby book and looking back at his first, second and third month pictures are definitely a favorite! I miss the days of little bitty Riley, even though he wasn't as tiny as Charlotte was as a baby!  It's been so fun to document him growing up and getting bigger and more happy! Such a sweet boy! He is definitely a favorite! It is so hard to believe he is 5 months old in just a week! Crazy *cue the tears*  This is definitely a favorite this week! I have three bags of these, one is an assorted mix and another is just milk chocolate so I cannot wait to open those! The white chocolate

Life in the Wicks house

Life around here lately has been a mixture of crazy, sweet, and cuddly!  I picked up Charlotte's party invitations on Friday to get them filled out and sent out! That way people have a chance to get it on their calendars if they are able to make it! I didn't send them far out enough in advance last year for her first birthday but people still reworked their schedules to make it!  We also did some arts and crafts! Charlotte drew a card for her Daddy, and then we painted the kiddos feet and made hearts out of them for Mimi and Grandpa! It went a lot better than I expected but that is probably because I had help to get it done! :) The joys of having a husband who will help me with my crazy crafting projects  Family of four just watching tv before bedtime! Riley's all wrapped up and being rocked to sleep while this picture was being taken but he opened his eyes because he say the camera! He loves taking pictures :)  A little tummy time on our gigan

Show and Tell Tuesday: Pinterest Pins

I fell off the Blogging world for a few days there! Riley is sick, Charlotte is full of energy, Hubby is currently freezing up North, and I am trying to pack, and clean, and keep both kiddos happy so I took a little family time so I could have some time with my family! Today I am back and Linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday. Today is is all about our favorite pins, and let me tell you I absolutely love Pinterest! I do not know what I was doing before Pinterest came around. It has so many fun ideas and projects, recipes and inspiration, it is the best things bundled into one! Being a momma of two kiddos, one being almost two we are all about arts and crafts and baking here! I love doing a good pinterest project with my girl to see how it turns out! Soon Riley will be able to join in on the fun but for now he likes to watch us make a mess :) He has done a few footprint projects but that is about it! http://teaching2and3yearolds.com/toddler-valentine-crafts/

Feeling blessed

Happy Wednesday! It's been a crazy busy week! Packing, house hunting, multiple phone calls, teething babies and trying to cook, clean and do loads of laundry! It is freezing here! I really do not like this cold weather! Luckily it is moving out of here tomorrow! I've been doing a lot of rocking my babies so far this week! Riley is teething and needs Momma and Charlotte is also teething and has popped one molar already! Molars are so difficult but she handles them like a champ! Riley on the other hand, does not handle the whole teething thing so well, poor boy!  I've been doing a lot of this! He doesn't like if I put him down for too long! And his sleep schedule is so out of wack, because of teething and sleep regression! Sweet boy is just growing up!  I wouldn't want it any other way! As I keep telling myself over and over, cherish it now because soon he won't even want to sit next to or let me hold his hand!  I am so incredibly blessed to hav

Busy Busy Weekend

This weekend was crazy! Scott got home late Friday night after dropping off two shipments up north and we crashed immediately! Riley was up bright and early Saturday morning and we made our breakfast we usually eat on Sunday, on Saturday because Charlotte was not going to be home Sunday morning. We spent a lot of time just sitting around Saturday and then we ran errands in the afternoon! We enjoyed some sweet time with Charlotte before she went to Mimi's for a sleepover! Having one on one time was fun with Riley but I definitely missed my girl! Riley does not have a crib yet, and I wanted to see how he did in a crib and out of our room so I rocked him, and made sure Charlotte's crib didn't have any stuffed animals or her pillow in it and laid him down in there, and he went straight to sleep, didn't wake up at 3 and slept until 5 and then went back to sleep until 8! It was a good night's rest for him and now I know once we move he will be okay in his own room and in

Crafting Thursday!

Happy Thursday! One more day and then it is finally the Weekend! Can't wait! Scott will be home after a long week of work and I cannot wait to see him! :) I'm in such a crafting mood today! I'm so exhausted from 4 month sleep regression that Riley is currently going through but I want to make something with Charlotte today! Even though I am not a fan of the Broncos or the Panthers, they are both great teams and since Charlotte is old enough to make things with me I think we are going to decorate the house for Sunday! I know my husband is rooting for the Broncos because he likes Peyton Manning so I think we might decorate everything in Orange and Blue. But then again, we got engaged in Charlotte NC, where the Panthers are from so maybe I will decorate in Blue and Black and go against my husband! We always have some competition and rivalry with all of our teams (Packers vs Bears and Alabama vs Georgia)  and it makes it more fun so maybe I will do that haha! My dad'

The Wicks family goes to the Zoo

Happy Wednesday Everyone! It is nasty outside, pouring rain, high winds and thunder and lightening so its a stay inside and color, play with books and massive amounts of toys and continue to pack! Today I am going to post about our zoo trip more in depth! On Sunday we took a trip to the Atlanta Zoo! Being a Georgia girl I have of course been as a kid but didn't remember it all because I haven't been in so long, so it felt like the first time for us all! We loaded up the kiddos after giving Riley a bottle and left our house at about 11:15 and go to the zoo at 12:30 since we had to stop to fuel up! Once we got there we got the double stroller and went inside, after buying our tickets of course! And Momma couldn't help taking a picture of my three loves under the sign! Charlotte loves elephants so we spent a lot of time looking at the elephants! She makes the cutest elephant noise when I ask her what the elephant says!  My hubs with the two kiddos! Such an
